Many parents are nowadays wondering how to ease their children’s start into adult life. Here one should mention the advantage of being bilingual. Learning Polish at our school is one of the solutions. Knowing Polish and English is an advantage at an early stage of a child’s life, where it supports flexible thinking and cognitive development. It can also become a later asset for a teenager starting his adult life. The University of Edinburgh invited us to take part in the ‘Bilingualism Matters’ campaign. Our school was featured in a short documentary, ‘Bilingualism is our SuperPower’, which formed a part of promoting multilingualism at this year’s Scotland Languages Week, running from February 1st to 5th.

ECP received funding in 2020 from the ‘Polish Community Association’ by way of subsidies from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister as part of its public remit concerning aid to the Polish diaspora community (Polonia) and Poles abroad. This has partially covered the cost of renting our premises for which we are very grateful.
